Inexpensive alarm

I got this kit off ebay two blinking lights (the super bright)
for an alarm simulator. I had already had a non super bright
on the passenger side console (where your feet go but
visible). I replaced this one, and I ran a wire over
to the second one, which I put into the tach where the
factory alarm would light up. It works pretty good.

The one on the tach could be a little better if I could
purchase just an LED (no case) and make my own resistor
for it but I don't know how. So I had to put it in sideways
and it only lights up half of the factory red lense on the
top of the tach.

I don't have pics but if anybody wanted them I could post them up.

With the sticker it makes it look like I have a serious alarm.
