Go into limp mode/rev limit on purpose?
Does anyone know if there is a way to activate limp mode or limit the revs on purpose? Preferably electronically from the cockpit.
My idea is to make it so if the driver seat belt isn't buckled the car will be forced into a rev limiting/limp mode. Serving as a reminder to the driver to put on their dam seat belt.
And something that would work for any new car would be great.

Figure out which trouble codes/conditions would result in the mode being activated and then replicate those parameter. I don't know about the seatbelt thing though, I'd hate to be forced to use the standard belts rather than a harness on a track car because of big brother.
Also, if you have an S model you could maybe devise a way with an electronic boost controller so that when in "valet" mode the wastegate stays open. No boost=less fun.

I was thinking wiring into the seat belt sensor line, and the tach, and then somehow using a logic circuit to limit the throttle input (it is electronic)
Does anyone know of any electronic rev limiters out there? Something you just wire into the car and can be adjusted on the fly?

Sounds good for the children... don't wear your seatbelt, no power for you. I've seen too many kids wearing no seatbelts in the year I've been on this job. Sad, really.
