Electrical Headlamp issue
Headlamp issue
I was wondering if someone can help me out. My driver side headlamp will only work in the high beam setting. One would think that by just replacing the light would solve the problem. Unfortunately i did this. Every light i put in only works when the high beam is on. It's like there's no power getting to it in the low setting. Mind you this is only the driver's side. So i don't think it's a fuse. Can someone help me out?
I have no knowledge of Mini's as I am just a noob and learning but I know on other vehicles there are a couple relays for the headlights. Usually one for each side. Possible that this is the cause?

I just discovered what the issue was - the low beam light was out, which I didn't know about - looking at it the first time, I'd thought that there was only one bulb in there. *Embarrassed* Popped the new bulb in, it works great.
I don't have this problem... but in relation... I just changed out my blubs from the stock to super whites and now one of my headlights is lower than the other. I didn't think this was possible since the housing was pretty solid. I don't see any way to change the degree, and I've swaped the bulbs to see if it was that, but no. Am I just seeing things?
On a side note, I want to use my PIAA driving lamps all the time instead of hi-beams. what is the degree for that?

I suspect your bulb is not sitting properly in the headlight lens. The bulb might be turned a little bit so that it is not sitting in the indents correctly. You might be able to tell from the outside looking at the headlight (with the headlights off). Look closely at the bulb and see if it is sitting flush, no gaps, and not crooked.
