If i understand you correctly you mean that when you have the Aux Driving Lights on and then switch to high beams the Aux Lights go off. Then when you go back to regular (not high beams) you have to turn the Aux lights back on Manually.

If this is the case then see the dealer if they installed them as they should come back on when returning to regular beams (not high). As for them going off when you go to high beams that is the way they are supposed to work and they should not even be able to be on when in high beam mode. The law states that when switching on high beams the fog or driving lights must go off. The thing is that they should come back on when turning the high beams off.

clnconcpts, are you talking about the OEM driving lights? The ones with the button to the left side of the steering wheel on color line?

They work with the high beams on my car. That switch is a toggle that remembers the setting. If I have the high beams on, turn on the driving lights, and then turn off the high beams, the driving lights turn off. Then next time I turn on the high beams, the driving lights turn on with them. The switch on the dash has a small green LED that tells you when they are on.

On mine that little switch on the dash turns off when i go back to low beams and when i turn high beams back on- I have to hit that switch so the AUX driving lights come back on.

Ok, I'll re-check mine just to be sure next time I drive the Mini. I don't remember mine being that way at all.

Does the green light go out after your turn off the high beams? The green light on mine stays with the switch pressed in, even without the high beams turned on.

Definitely have the dealer check it out. It's not uncommon for the aux driving lights to be wired incorrectly. On both of our MINIs, they can be turned on with either the high beams or the low beams, which I know is wrong.

clnconcpts, any update?

I rechecked mine over the weekend. The driving lights never turn off until I push the switch again. Using the high beams doesn't reset them to off once you go back to the normal beam.

I would contact the dealer. That is definitely not the way it's supposed to be working.
