Undercar LED's

I have always wanted to install undercar LED's. Just because I can. And the fact my friend will soon have them and we could be ricers together

I know one of you out there has installed them on a MC and I can figure out where to stick them on the sides and front. But the rear will be an issue. I have the ricer magnaflow exhaust and a towbar. Any ideas as to mounting options?

I can figure out the wiring, which I will probably hook up to the rear fog light switch.

Yes, I did read the article on the 07 Yellow MCS on here but im looking for more specific help for an 06 MC.

Thanks everybody.

I would sugest two shorter bars for the rear in place of the one bigger bar. I have been toying with the idea also. Wanted to get the blacklight (purpleish) or white.

Ill go for either blue, or a set i can change on command.

Here is my rear

I am thinking of just getting a small bar to place under the tow bar that goes to about muffler width.

I think one bar would fit in the rear. Is there any space between the tow bar and the body?

I have the flat panel on the left and a void from the stock exhaust on the right. The towbar just sits in the middle.

I think you could use one of oznium's"beefy strips", they are super flexible. you could just bend the strip around what ever got into the way.

LED lighting

I finally managed to get the picture posted, so here it is. I used Beefy Oznium strips and regular flexiable strips in the grill. I made a mounting bracket for the switches and mounted them under the window and fog light switches in the middle of the car. I also have a 9.5 inch strip mounted in each of the footwells inside the car.

The Oznium strips look like a great way to go. Ill have to try and find a dealer in Australia. How hard are they to wire up in the car? Is it a simple "plug into cigarette lighter" mod or do i have to do a bit of electrical work?

Thanks for the pictures and advice guys

I tapped the power from the rear lighter socket because it was easier to get to. Then it is just a simple two wire hook up. I found a black plastic magazine holder at Walmart and cut out a piece that looked like angle iron. Then I drilled the holes in it for the switches and used mounting tape to mount the angled piece under my other switches. When I turn the car off the lights will go off saving the battery from being accidentally drained. You can order the Oznium strips online and have them shipped to you.

+1

I have used several manufacturers for LED's and Oz makes THE best flexible LED's in the Market. Super bright, rugged, and they are also quick shippers, usually only 2-3 days.

They are waterproof as well and can be cut to length. Just seal cut end with a little silicone.......and each comes with a strip of very strong 3M double sided tape, or they can be secured with quick ties.
& Your's came out great. Nice job!

Ok this is all good news for me haha.

They can ship to Australia which is awesome.
Easy to install, I am a big fan of zip-ties these days.
Look bright and sexy

I presume I will have to buy a control module separately, to connect all 4 sets up together, then Id have to link this to a switch in the dash. My goal is to have a simple rocket switch near the dash so that I can switch the lights on and off in a split second. I see Teach custom made a switch under the centre console, but me being an electrical novice id rather not get electrocuted, again.

You might not need one since they are all going to be the same color. Depending on where you draw power from I think you might be able to get away with wiring them all together into the same source and switch. I hope that made sense.

In regards to Teach's ride, what length strips did you use on yours? Is it the 6 foot ones on the sides and the shorter ones up front and back?

I would think a 38" would fit the sides and front/rear nicely. They are a little over 3 feet but I don't know the length of the side.
