Lower grill light bar question

I have an Alta light bar and plan to install the lights here soon, but I have a question. Once the lights are installed, I see removing the bumper cover to be difficult if not impossible unless the lighting harness has some type of disconnect behind the bumper cover.

What have folks here done that have installed lights in the lower grill?

Thanks!

You're in luck. The Alta wiring harness has connectors that are relatively close to the IPF lights (maybe 8" upstream from the mount). To remove the bumper cover, it would be a relatively simple task to unplug the lights and remove the bar first.

Upon further review...I thought those were crimp connectors. I assume then these are just pop-in connectors and can be disconnected without damage?

Yep...just pop-ins. They're pretty snug, well shielded from the elements, and no need to crimp them (unless the harness you received is different than mine).

Wow...that saved me a whole lot of extra work. For those wondering what lights to buy, the IPF harness is SO much better than the Hella one I took back.
