US source for cigarette lighter connectors?

Anyone know of a US source of the connectors for the cigarette lighter in an R56? NewMINIStuff.com has a neat idea with their "Power Take Off Lead" but with shipping, VAT, and the current exchange rate it's just too expensive. I'm capable of building my own if I can find the connectors.

What do you plan to do? I used an Add-A-Circuit to the fusebox for my hardwiring.

The add-a-circuit is a good alternative to that expensive newministuff part. I use one also for my radar detector. I was interested in the newministuff cig lighter Y cord also but after seeing how much it costs to get one to this side of the world I went back to using the add-a-circuit.

Add-a-circiut has a number of problems for this application:
  • I want the power in the center console
  • A-a-C is limited to 10 amps and the circuit I want to use is 20
  • A-a-C interferes with the fuse box cover even after trimming the cover

I took a look at the cigar lighter recepticle conntector found the following information on it:
  • Tyco
  • 996599
The electrical connections are physically the normal quick connect spade type.

I tried Googling the number and found nothing useful. The manufacturer's site also proved disappointing.

Add-a-Circuit only interferes with the cover if certain fuse locations. The cig lighter fuse is one of those locations.
