Electrical Air Bag Resistor - After Market Seat Replacement
Air Bag Resistor - After Market Seat Replacement
I have JCW-style Sparco sport seats installed in my '04 MCS JCW, which obviously do not have air bags.

It is my understanding that there has been discussion on NAM about how to build a resister to complete the electrical sensor loop to prevent the air bag light from staying on. I realize I'll have to have the Dealer reset the code, but I can't find the thread(s) to learn how to build this resister.
Any advice / help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know a good source for approriate sized male pin connectors??? I have looked in auto parts stores, electronics stores, and online, but I have yet to find any good connectors to solder onto the ends of a resistor. I know they are out there, because my MOMO steering wheel hub came with a nice loop that had a resistor and a fuse finished off with nice male pin connectors on the ends that fit snugly into the air bag connector
Last time I asked this question of somebody, I was told to simply strip the connectors from the seat. However, that would obviously render the air bag in the stock seat useless in case I want to switch back to it.
Thanks!!!
