Bought one for myself for Christmas from gominigo.com. Easy install and pretty attention-grabbing!

And your reasons for this?

I have one on my MINI and have had it for a year. It works wonders and gets the attention of the people behind you.

As for legality, it is best to contact your local authorites and ask if you are uncertain. Germany has some pretty strict laws but every officer that I have spoken to think that it is a great idea and would not even consider giving me a ticket.

I opted for a clear 3rd light that lights up brighter than most other LEDs. SO instead of blinking it goes from white to red. I've noticed people stay further back with this.

I installed mine about 6 months ago, very simple install took less than 10 minutes.

I've noticed an increase in the gap that other drivers are leaving behind me. Thursday someone stopped about 20 feet behind me, in broad daylight, which was the most I've seen. Extremely effective at night.

On another thread someone from gominigo said that he'd check with all 50 DMVs. That as long as it stopped flashing at some point it was legal.

I wanted to add one to our Forester, but Pulsar only works on LED bulbs.

Dude, I have a MINI and a Forester as well (small world) and wanted to do it on that one but found that it was bulbs...

On a good note, I spoke to a Polizei here tonight and found that they also don't care as long as it stops flashing within a few seconds. So, it is safe....

I installed mine about a year ago. It does get tailgaters attention. On the track it is great too.......

I would also recommend the brake light mod that utilizes the upper un-used fog lights as an additional brake light. I got this mod for free from the maker/creator when he first started selling them in 2004.

With both mods either on the road or on the track guys behind ya know you definately are braking.

I'm waiting for the two that I ordered to arrive Lemoore gets fog that is so thick they measure it by the dashed lines in the road sometimes down to a two liner so the 1.5 second six flash was the order I put in.

Mini-rolls thanks for an awesome product they arrived today put the first one in my 2004 MC had a slight issue with clearance however followed the wire harness from the boot to the main body pulled back the rubber water seal and then found the proper black of the two the second one was the correct one and the red wire. Verified polarity and then spliced in the wires added a second 6 inch piece for stowage and stuck the circuit card inside the body. Slid the rubber shield back into place and pressed the brakes. Works like a champ time to motor..

This is one of those high value-to-dollar ratio mods that everyone should do. Added safety, low cost, and easy to install. And please, buy it from the originator, not some late-comers to the party who are charging more for the same thing.

I have one and love it. I agree with some of the posts here that it tends to increase the gap from the rear bumper to the car behind you. I also believe it helps on the foggy mornings and rainy days. I like to tap my brakes a couple of times so it pulses twice before fully braking just to wake the guy up behind me that is on their cellphone!

Also have the one from GoMINIGo and it works great. But I had to have it replaced because the first one was bad and they replaced @ no charge...

Both of mine are now installed Mini-rolls and Gominigo make a great product. Using two people makes the install easier for the test portion however both installs in under an hour total. One on a 2004 MC and a 2007 MCs. Highly recommend very fast delivery pleasure to do business with, should have figured this as I found them on NAM!!!

Will you please share? What aftermarket product is that?

To Everyone:
Just so you know there are options, here is another alternative for a puser.
http://www.comagination.com/bflasher.htm

I am leaning towards this version because I prefer the pulse frequency vs. duration ratio. Also, I like that there is a delay to the pulsing when in heavy stop and go situations, where repeated braking is required. Plus you want to get the attention of those behind you, not further annoy them.

Thanks.
