Thinking of adding a fuse box....

GPS, V1, iPod, phone charger and other items. I'd like to be able to keep the wirecleaing for both cleanliness and safety reasons.

The boot cubbie seems like the most logical place glove box being the next best option for my setup, want something able to handle all the interior acessories, as I think there comes a time to draw the line with the add a fuse, and 12v socket splitter stuff. In the cubbie I'm thinkI can tap into the factory wiring for the CD changer that's not installed or draw from the battery area, however I do want to make this switched power, looking for a way to add two of these with 10amp fuses in each of the blocks which should also leave me room for further expansion if I so desire.

Anyone have experiance with this (I've read the thread on the box in the engine bay for LEDs but this is a little more hefty and complex). I've got the Bentley so I can make sure my taps are into the right wires, but htought I'd turn to NAM for thoughts ideas and any guidance that pops up.

The OEM fog lights run a wire straight to the hot side of the engine fuse box, then mount a four spot fuse box in the void behind the airbox.
I suppose you could do the same, but mount the box in the driver footwell and use a relay for switched power.
Do you really want to mount it in the boot and run wires up to the front?

So at least I'm not the only one whose dashboard looks like the Japanese entry in the Cannonball Run movie. . . LOL

go right to the battery with a wire heavy enough for say 30 amps . i forget the sizes . then just pull off of that . you'll have enough for 10's 20's 5's etc. as long as they're not all on at once . if so you may want to look into adding a battery like the stereo dudes do .
