MCAW = No more convenience power to the windows?

either this is an unmentioned side effect, or i've got it hooked up wrong, and i don't think that is the case, or even possible. not ian's, the newer design.

with it in place, power to the windows is totally cut when the key is removed. take it out, and i have convenience power after removing the key but before opening the door.

is that normal?

might be, but one word of caution... these MINI's have high drain while
parked so dont use power with the motor turned off too often. one
way to prematurely wear your battery out, especially if you only
drive short distances.

This would be normal on the MCAW Deluxe circuit. This was a design concession made in order to provide additional auxiliary outputs.

The MCAW Basic circuit supports (maintains) the convenience power to the windows.

Thanks-
