gauge wireing

is there a fuse or something i can put my wires on to make my gauges turn on when my headlights do? if so which one is it

You can tap the dimmer wire to the red/grey wire that connects to the back of the tach. You can get the tap from Radioshack. The wire is very small gauge (like 22 or 24) so you may need to slit the insulation open before using the tap.

Tapping the dimmer wire is what's recommended, and of course a bit harder, so that the illumination will vary with the rest of the dash lights. The reality is that if your going to go with red/orange bulbs or condoms, they probably won't be bright enough anyway. Tapping the fuse box will give full brightness all the time but you probably won't notice... except when you want them to be brighter that is...

Only place I have found them is AUTOZONE.
