HID problems

Has anyone installed HIDs into there mini. after installing my kit i found that the lights werk fine with the engine off but once turned on they start strobing. i then installed a direct power relay harness and it made not difference. last nite if started working for alil when i was at idle but once i took off it started flashing again.

Factory HIDs here. But, that's pretty strange. Could be a faulty ballast...

i dont think the kits are gonna make a difference unless i have a defective one.....funny thing is, it works if i put the a/c on first then the headlights but they still flash when you hit the gas. makes no sense

ive had several friends drop them in their cars some have luck, some dont.....one of them only one of his lights would turn on at first so he would have to turn them on and off and on and off until both of them lit up.worked fine after that but another friend same car different kit no problem...idk? im sure it has something to do with the cheap price tag (no offense meant) i'm still gonna get a set tho! its not like a im breaking the bank if i dont like them anyways.

awesome! thats looks really good. 6000k? i see you used what looks like silicone to seal the side of that rubber flap i was wondering what the best way to do that was gonna be...let me know if you get things worked out. im in the process of moving out so no money going into the mini for a little while otherwise i wouldve ordered a set the minute you replied to my questions!

ok....I have 8k up top and 6k in the fogs.....im leaning towards a ground issue so ive been trying different spot....i first went to the hood ground and then the master cylinder bolt to the booster since those were the closest to where my wiring was, but now im going to extended my leed and go to the motor and see what happens.

No thanks. I have the OEMS. But, does that kit include the self-leveling housing, or does it skip that?

No....Its a plug n play lighting system...bulbs and ballasts only.

self leveling only came on xenon cars. you would have to replace the headlamps and sensors on the suspension to get that feature but then you might as well keep going and put the xenons in from the factory which will cost you over $1000 i think.

Well, that was what I meant by being suspicious. I doubted that for $150 you would get something like the OEM product.

Are you using the halogen reflectors?

Do you have DRLs set on? If so, thats the answer.

i kind of like that look better than my round hid's. but then again. i love my cut-off it gives off..but hopefully you make them 'like new' or make them perfect. they look too good to be wasted.
