I am going to head out about 2:00 PM to get some face time with the staff from autotoyz (maybe discus some changes to my car). I think everything is pretty much setup just hoping it is a good turnout...

If anyone would like to do an inpromptu drive I am sure something could be arranged arround that as well!

 

or a supper as well there is some great locations arround IC / Coralville for supper

 

I should be there like right at 3, that's when i get off of work and since it's like 2 blocks to there...

I agree with D3mON!! Awesome time today, nice to see everyone out and the awesome MINI's!! hope to be able to catch some more events with everyone.

 

Glad everything went well today and I hope you all enjoyed the items donated by the various supporters. Hopefully next time thing will be better on my end and I'll be able to make it!

Help yourself! The new 2009 MINIs were great to see.

It was really a great time and lots of people really seemed stoked about further get togethers, there seemed to be some interest in a winter eat meet of sorts (like last years wig-n-pen)

 

^^ Maybe we can be there for when it reopens! Which will hopefully be soon, its a long drive across town to pick up a pizza

 

Will it reopen? Last time I drove by there it looked like only the shell of the building was left...pretty grim.

 

I drove by there this morning and i think they are pouring cement, or what looked like cement anyway. I've been told they had to get a building permit from the city to "fix" the building. I really hope they open back up, i don't know where the other one in town is, i've been told it's not as good, and it's an even further drive to (L)ames to get one.

 

Last I heard it will re-open as to when I don't know

But there are other good places in town to eat some with under roof parking...

I have had pizza's at both many times and honestly I cant tell the difference!

 

I thought the Wig and Pen East ( Corner of Rochester and 1st Ave IC) was pretty tasty last time I had it, I just want it closer to me

Yeah they poured a foundation to the building last I saw. They didn't have a basement I dont think so they had to put some kind of basis down to start the repairs, from there I hope they can get permits to do the rest.

 

I've never been to the other one, just been told. God, now all this talk of wig and penn is making me want a flying tomato... thanks guys
