Anyone using the Mini App? Cannot confirm car
This used to be called the Mini Connected App.
Anyway, I am unable to add my new 2022 Mini SE to this app.
I enter the VIN
The app seems to accept the VIN, and it says it sent a message to the car
But the car shows NO messages.
And one must receive a message in the car to sync the app with the car.
I've sent at least a dozen messages as follows:
I've tried with with a physical connection using a USB for my phone as well as Over the Air.
I disconnected my bluetooth (CarPlay), made no difference.
I deleted the app, plugged in the USB, then added the app again, made no difference.
I did all this both inside and outside my garage. Made no difference.
Ideas anyone?
I could be wrong, but I think one can use this app to lock and unlock the car, which is why I'm interested.

I’m glad to hear that your setup went smoothly. I wonder what is up with mine?
Cell phone service should be OK. I’ll try again from work tomorrow. Maybe that will make a difference.
I don't have any bright ideas. I will note that when I added mine, I hadn't yet set up the Bluetooth connection. Maybe try disconnecting from the car and resend?
I found this thread on a BMW site that sounds similar. Short version is you may need to return to the dealer. Bummer.

Hmm. Which thread??
Also, it didn't work at work either. I deleted my phone from CarPlay and it made no difference.
