Thinking About A Cooper SE
Hey all,
I have had my R55 for a few years now and I really like the Mini world. I have recently starting thinking about replacing my current Clubman with a 2022 Cooper SE. I have a couple questions if you could help.
1. I see several articles and a review that shows an SE in Island Blue. In fact my local dealer inventory on the miniusa.com site even shows one in that color (Seattle Mini). I really like the color but when I go into the configurator on the Mini website I am not given that color as an option. What gives? Is this is a special order color that has to be arranged at the dealer when ordering?
2. Does the car have electric power seats? One aspect my wife is looking for (since we now share one car) is to have the car automatically adjust the seat to her settings when she goes to drive it. This would obviously require the seat to be electric. I could obviously just go to the dealer and find this out for myself but figured I would as the group here.

#1 - you have to get the Electric Collection to get island blue on the SE, which also comes with a multicolour roof. I don't love the roof, but that's what I have ordered. Hopefully it'll be built eventually. Been in Scheduled for Production status for almost 8 weeks now.
#2 - I don't think so, but I could be wrong. I think you can get power seats on the new Clubman (F54) and maybe on the Countryman, but not on the F56. Again, I could be mistaken.

MINI charges almost as much for the Signature Plus-level Electric Collection SE as for the full-boat leather upholstered Iconic trim SE. Note that the Electric Collection MINI Cooper SEs also include light decals (I don't call them stripes) on the hood and sides. Here's the triple-gradient roof and the decals. It bugs me that MINI installed black trim in place of the chrome trim everywhere except the beltline trim.
