Need to purchase SE by Dec. 31

I'm looking to purchase an SE by December 31 to take advantage of the federal tax credit this year. Dealers are telling me that placing a build-to-order right now won't make it by December, so I'm left with purchasing something in inventory or somewhat that has been ordered but canceled. There appear to be very few available across the country, and those that are on the lots have been reserved.

If anyone has any leads within a few hundred miles of me in Massachusetts, I'd really appreciate it. Was looking to get the base model, but realize I may not find one.

Thanks!

Dealers told me that too last year but I looked on Autotrader, Cars.com, etc until I found a dealer that would sell me the inventory they had on the lot. I had it delivered from Florida to Tennessee. My car is the base model with the slick top.

Check out this forum, which has a very large number of SE owners--some of them might have suggestions. You should abandon your distance limit if time is of the essence.

I found some on Cars.com in the Northeast, but when I called they said they didn't actually have them in stock, they were preorders (no explanation on why they were listing preorders for sale).

I ended up ordering mine back in September. I'm hoping to get it by the 31st, but I doubt it'll happen. My production is set to begin the first week of November, so the dealer said they gave it a 60-70% chance of getting here in time to take possession by the 31st. Especially with the holidays. But if I take possession next year, I'll just have to wait a year for my tax rebate. Worse things have happened.
