Here I am taking delivery of my Iconic MCSE. We don't have many miles together yet due to the pandemic, but I'm looking forward to more motoring in silence soon!
I still haven't seen the Corona Spokes in the metal, how do you like them? I'm tempted to go fully base, use those (ugly IMO) wheels for winter and buy the Coronas for summer. (Based on the start of 2020 I think MINI should re-brand the SE wheels as "Type G")
I'm also curious how the car compares to your Volt, everyone I know with a Volt absolutely adores it.

Your picture is pushing me towards White Silver.
Thanks! I love the asymmetrical design of the wheels. They have already renamed them, too, from what I hear. I also saw that "Corona" beer is not doing well due to its namesake pandemic. The car comes with a tool to remove the long "spoke" for access to the lug nuts. I really like those wheels and even got a 3-D printed replacement surround for my key fob in yellow to match the other accents.
As for the Volt - I'll miss a lot of things about it; Adaptive cruise, blind spot sensor, rear cross-traffic, and the comfort of the onboard backup generator. On the other hand, I got a moonroof (have been missing that for years), and really love a MINI. Believe it or not, but Chevy totally nickel-and-dimes you on their monthly services which are all free in the MINI (was paying about $60/month for Nav, Onstar, etc..) I realized that for years, I've been lugging around a gas engine and a gas tank for the chance that I might need it, but about 95% of my driving was within the 55 miles of range in the Volt. We have a '19 Silverado for when we need to go further.
Best of all, the MINI is so much more fun to drive!
BTW, I traded in my 3rd Volt - the last of which was a lemon law replacement for my 2nd Volt that stranded me on the road twice. Now that Chevy has canned the Volt, I wasn't so confident driving one anymore. They are cool, but are very complex machines with the Voltec powertrain...
I still haven't seen the Corona Spokes in the metal,
The design inspiration for them is the UK electric plug sockets. The in-joke gets watered down a little everywhere outside the UK tho. I like em....Dealers here are ordering full load SEs with them on. All in the launch colour tho. Havent seen any on lots in other colours yet

So there is enough supply that dealers are able to order SE's for stock? Thought it would take them a while to fill all the pre-orders (I assume "sold" cars are a higher priority). But then again perhaps there is plenty of factory capacity (other than the temporary COVID closure) because demand for the other models has generally decreased substantially even before COVID.
Ellie all done with her roof vinyl, ceramic coating of every surface (Headlights, paint, windows, suspension, wheels, undercarriage, upper and lower motor bay) new wheels, new tail lights, and 8.8" screen retrofit.
If you would, could you please explain more about this screen swap? That is about the only extra that would draw me to the Iconic versus the Signature Plus (US market nomenclature)
2021 mini se .
Enjoying being back in a mini after three years+ with a Chevy bolt...shorter range but an actual joy to drive vs driving an appliance. 😀

Congrats!
Unfortunately, basically all EVs feel like appliances compared to MINIs.
The MINI isn't the quickest EV, but there's something about MINIs (gas or EV) that make them way more fun than the paper specs suggest.
