Here is my 2021 Cooper SE. It is the Signature model with the hard top and 16" wheels. I debated getting 17" wheels but the added weight and width will hurt range and acceleration.

- ST X coilovers
- Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus tires
- Smoked front and rear side marker lights
- Smoked rear fog lights
- 35% window tint

Freshly ceramic coated and ppf on front end

Hand wash after the ceramic coat and ppf were "ready"

Shorty antenna too!

Jon, I think your SE looks great, but I'm surprised you retained the Energetic Yellow mirror caps. I appreciate all of MINI's SE identifiers on my car. I wave more enthusiastically than I usually do at passing MINIs when I see a fellow SE driver (OK, that's happened only once so far).

Based on the appearance of the 2022 SE, however, MINI agrees with your thinking they went too electric with the 2020/21 SE's appearance. I'm looking for some Energetic Yellow center caps for my Loop Spoke winter wheels. Are you saving yours?

I ordered some eBay black mirror covers. I might try the night jack mirror covers but they are a little pricey.

I'm keeping all of the stock parts in case I want to go back. But if you have black mirror caps, I might be willing to trade my yellow mirror caps and center caps.

I can understand saving all the original parts in case you or a future owner want to return your SE to its factory specs. I ordered my SE with all the Energetic Yellow parts I could specify, so I don't have black mirror caps to offer you.

After trying for 8 months, I finally sold my original SE hood with its ornamental, ICE-remnant hood scoop. I would have saved it for a future owner but I didn't have anywhere to store the 5' x 4' x 1.5' box in which the scoopless, base-MINI hood was delivered. I believe I would have had to store it for a very long time before any future owner is able to pry my fingers off my SE's steering wheel.

New wheels installed! I also put the black mirror cap covers on and have the correct trim finisher pieces for the S bumper without parking sensors.

Jon - love the look of the coilovers and the wheels - thanks for sharing the pics. Now that you've lived on this setup for a while (those are 17s, correct?) can you share what you think of the ride quality? I'm seriously considering the same set up once I receive my 2023 with roulette spokes (hopefully in June). My main reason would be for fitment - I'm not looking for a harsh ride as it will be my daily driver, but I'd really like to reduce the wheel gap. Any feedback on before vs after would be appreciated. Thanks!

The ride is a little rougher. I would say it is an 8 out of 10. I still need to get a proper alignment and better tires so I am hopeful that it will get better. I think I should have purchased the ST XA so I could adjust the dampers. I also have had good luck with Koni in the past so H&R or Eibach with Koni yellows might be a better riding solution.

15mm spacers all around and 50 sidewall instead of 45 to give it a less wheel gap look. The higher sidewall actually mad the ride more comfortable!

I order a new 2023 Cooper SE today, she will look like this. The interior is chester brown leather. Since my wife will be the main user she won't allow stripes. Looking forward to February when she will be ready to take delivery of.

Today marks the 2 year anniversary of Wattson's "Gotcha Day". 8,848 miles and counting!

Collage of Wattson, my 2021 2 Door Hardtop SE.

Thanks yours looks great, I like the 18’ inch alloys. I noticed you have front fog lights, I would’ve liked them, I’ve ordered them on all the cars I’ve bought but they aren’t an option on the Cooper SE in Norway.

2020 - 2021 model years have fog lights. Starting in 2022, the fog lights were integrated into the headlights for better aero.

Thanks for the kind words. Yea, the fogs went away on the updated bumper.

I think the wheels make a great difference, and they were pretty inexpensive (especially compared to my other car's wheels!)

No more moonlight grey, it’s been discontinued for 2023 builds, so the wife has to pick a new colour, she’s thinking enigmatic black with a silver roof and wing mirrors.

It's "Moonwalk Grey" that is no longer an option. Being a space nut, I love having a Moonwalk Grey SE with Satellite Grey leather seats. I wonder why MINI chose that color (or any color, for that matter) to dump? Do they believe gray has become too common a color on today's cars?
