Evolve - The latest tuning for the R56

To learn more about us please visit our introduction thread here or visit our Facebook or YouTube channels to see some of the vehicles we work on daily.

We at Evolve are proud to finally be a sponsor on NAM. As such we would like to display our tuning options to the community.

Evolve R56 Cooper S/Factory JCW Tuning Package

We are a well established European tuner specializing in ECU remapping and Performance hardware. We are Dyno specialists, owning a Dyno Dynamics 4 wheel dyno, which allows us to test and perfect our tunes and hardware n a live environment. We are proud of the tuning we do.

We currently tune for only for 93+ octane applications, for the Cooper S/JCW years 07-10 (both Euro and US) and all R56 Factory JCW.

Tuning:

Level 1: Evolve ecu remap providing up to an additional 30 BHP and 45 Ft/lbs Torque.

Level 2: Evolve ecu remap with evolve cat back exhaust providing up to an additional 35 BHP and 50 Ft/lbs Torque.

Level 3: Evolve ecu remap and evolve downpipe providing up to an additional 50 BHP and 90 ft/lbs Torque.

Level 4: Evolve ecu remap and evolve turbo back exhaust providing up to an additional 60 BHP and 100ft/lbs Torque.

Include the Evolve intercooler on the Level 4 tune and you will reach 250bhp.

Our Factory JCW dyno graph:

We tune for your modifications - the price for the remap for any Stage is the same.

To supply you our tune we offer the Evolve-R system, remote tuning cable that hooks up to your laptop and the vehicle's OBD port.

As with all our products we have a strong emphasis on safety, and so rather than redesigning the wheel, we decided to use the same style device we have been using to tune our customers vehicles for years without issues. With updated software, the evolve-R is incredibly easy to use, safe and offers a simple and affordable way of delivering our renowned ECU files to your vehicle.

How it works:
1. Install the supplied software on your laptop (Windows XP/Vista/7)
2. Connect the cable to your OBD-II port and read your ECU into a file.
3. Email us the file
4. We tune the file, email it back and you use the evolve-R to load back into your vehicle.

You can replace your original/tune file at will, and of course if you add modifications in the future, you use the same process to load on the new file we send you.

How are you getting such huge peak torques on these stage 2-4 tunes? Most custom tunes provide results like stage 1. The stage 2-4 results seem to be results I would expect from a JCW running a TON of boost and the fuel injectors at their peak duty cycle. :-0

I would guess its because we are advertising our flywheel figures rather than wheel? Its a very well established tune, lots of hard racing miles under its best in many vehicles

Are you planning to provide ECU programming for those in higher-altitude areas (like Denver, Colorado) that have 91 octane (premium unleaded)?

The issue with 91 is that the engine just doesn't make much more power over the 5k mark. We can of course tune for it but don't feel the gains justify the price at the moment before we can look at it further. We may look at it again in the near future and do some development work on 91 octane Minis, in which case we will update everyone with our findings.

Hope you guys do look into such; because due to elevation, 93 octane isn't provided across the eastern Rocky Mountain front range and therefore I can't even consider Evolve as a working product.

There are something's I would like some insight on, you have parts, yet nothing on your website other than a tuner, what efficiency is your intercooler designed for and how has it worked in high heat situations and has it been tested, is it designed and built by your shop?

What's the FMIC cost?
Do you have photo's?
What's the cost of your Sport Cat DP?

Maybe you could work up a package for the JCW's owners to get a deal/group buy in the near future?

You claim your programmer/flash unit leaves No trace it has made changes to the ECU detectable by the dealer, how are you capable and Nobody else makes that claim? This alone could sway my buying your product over the others, yet you charge for extra tunes, when it's a simple file you email from a folder of tunes you feel would work in my JCW ride which could match another you already tuned, please explain

Claims are promising, yet show us some products along with cost of playing with Evolve parts.

Revolution Mini Works, NM Engineering and Renntech offer tuning options for the 2011 and later R56s. Each requires that you send your ECM to them so they can open it up.

Sport cat DP, an FMIC in black I haven't *yet anyway* heard much negative, and a fairly simple and less expensive tune option...dammit, now I have to consider another set.

Although don't see much on here from more recent posts. Still up on the site but hoping it's still fully supported.
