Evolve Tuning - now sponsors NAM!
Hi Guys,
Just to say an official, and newly sponsored, HELLO. We are the latest sponsors of NAM and hopefully most of you guys will have heard about us already. We have been around for a while, but now mostly thanks to our remote tuning devices we are spreading the love worldwide.

We create our tunes on our in-house dyno dynamics dyno which allows us to significantly test all aspects of both the tunes as well as our range of performance products, from catless downpipes to full turbo-back exhaust and intercoolers...

If you haven't heard of us please check out some of the other forums we sponsor to get a feel for what we do:

We deliver our tune through the use of our Evolve-R remote tuning device, connecting your laptop to the OBD port allowing us you to read out your ECU, email it to us and allow us to tune it. More details will be available on our promotional page when posted (link to be added).
its great to finally be an official part of this forum and are very proud to sponsor it. We look forward to bringing lots of technical information to you, as well as news about what we are working on with regards to the the Mini and other platforms!
Thanks!

Welcome!
Are you using the Cobb AccessPort as a platform for remote tuning services? I'm curious as to what you're using since I thought Cobb was the only game in town.
What kind of pricing do you offer for remote tuning? I'm in the market for an ECU tune next year for an '09 MCSm.

We use our proprietary system, the Evolve-R. We have a different requirement than Cobb, in that our system needs to work on lots of vehicles that we tune - as our core offering, what we are all about, is the tuning. It does code clearing and will soon have data logging capacity, though it works through laptop rather than standalone.
You can read more about it here: http://www.evolvetuning.us/mini/mini...-ecu-tune.html

I would like to see some dynos from MCS's you have tuned, I clicked the links and saw the ones for your inhouse mini.. what are the WHP numbers for it?
Also, that timeslip was 14.XX on stock tune or tuned?
I ran 14.1@96mph on stock tune.
EDIT..
So you made 192WHP with an FMIC and Downpipe?

Welcome to NAM!
I can't speak highly enough about evolve, their products are top notch. We've got the evolve downpipe, FMIC and cat-back exhaust on our Cooper S as well as a stage 1 remap. Our S is mainly used on track and for competing in the UK Time Attack series but its still fully road legal and is driven to and from the race tracks over here in the UK. It's still even got the full interior, we've just removed the seats and steering wheel and installed some buckets and a sports wheel.
We're working closely with evolve in the next few months to try to get our car to circa 300bhp/300lbs ft so we can hopefully improve on our 2nd place in the Time Attack championship in 2010 when we ran an R53, to be outright winners in our new R56 in 2012. Their experience and set-up advice has been invaluable already this year in testing and has produced some fantastic lap times, notibly a 1:24.6 on EVO magazines West Circuit at Bedford Autodrome - not bad considering we're only running 225bhp right now. But how does that compare to other cars? Well the EVO leaderboard for production cars is here: http://www.howfast.co.uk/Evo-Leaderboard.aspx
So that puts us in between one of these:

And one of these:

So if you're thinking of upgrading your R56, speak to evolve about what they can offer you, you won't be disappointed and you can rest assured that the parts they sell have been fully tested on road, drag strip and track...

Here are the WHP graphs for tune only on a stock car.

What you should be looking at is the delta - the difference between stock and tuned on the same dyno back to back. The area between the graphs speaks for itself. Comparing maximum power on different brands of dyno in different conditions is irrelevant.
I don't have the WHP to hand for the stages of tune but will get these posted up soon. In Europe everyone refers to BHP figures.
Yes that 1/4 mile was for downpipe/FMIC/tune. It looks like we can't anywhere near your 1/4 times over this side of the pond even stock for stock. Maybe you guys are just awesome drivers
Relatively speaking it was the fastest/highest terminal speed R56 at Santapod track with those mods. We will be carrying out more tests soon with our VBOX and will post up the results of timings in real world conditions.
Our stage 2 tune for use with your mods would run max 21psi.
We do not have any tuning solutions for the R53.
So does this mean that it will peak at 21psi during "overboost" and then flatten out to around 18-19psi?
Yeah and sadly I cant compare graphs in that sense since I went from Stock to Catless DP, FMIC, ETC, ETC and then tune.
But your gains are nice, I must admit I got a lucky launch on that stock tune with some really nice 225/45 Potenza RE-01Rs.
Good numbers though.

Good to see Evolve on here. Have their FMIC which I have not fitted yet and probably doing at same time as billet turbo and JCW manifold then tune.
If I get bored I may just get it fitted and wait for everything else to be done at a later stage but usually do things all at same time.
