HEH HEH Did ANY of you "install wizards" look at the LENGTH (front to back) of the "landing" at the bottom leading edge of the intercooler "photos" ?? It IS app 3" in "depth--totally COVERING The upper radiator hose bleeder valve which w/o the "notch" IS INACCESSABLE !!This bleeder MUST be located at the highest point in the hose line to operate properly. The notch IS access. The "holes" drilled into the side plate BEFORE the intercooler face were to mount a PROTECTIVE grill supplied by m7 as ALTA had nothing. Same with the hood scoop-They (ALTA) said "you need to buy one from m7" WE DON'T HAVE ANYTHING THAT FITS" !! SO "wizards" maybe you should look at WHY only 27% of buyers reccomend ALTA in a survey posted at the beginning of the vendor thread !! fishead # 1

Dave,
One last try here. Your emails (when we do get them) are a bit confusing. You first said you wanted (2) sets of ALTA control arms and the rest in credit for you entire expenditure (intercooler and a core charge for an intake manifold). Which we were fine with (excluding the Intake manifold core) after you gave us the reason WHY our intercooler didn’t work. After we figured out you had sent us the data to the wrong email, we agreed to give you all your money back for only the Intercooler on a CC. We thought this would make you happy as it was better than an in store credit! You agreed to this and sent us back the damaged intercooler in the pics above.

Because of the damaged intercooler, we deemed it reasonable to give you $300 back, but you didn’t like that. You said you wanted the entire purchase price plus the intake manifold core charge (different than what we agreed on). After posting this on the forums you sent us an email that we should have just agreed to your “original amicable deal” of two sets of control arms. I am so confused, so you are ok with (2) sets of control arms and we are clear? I feel that is a reasonable offer for sure.

For others looking on, I am sorry if it seems like these kinds of conversations should be sent between us and the customer. He has taken our conversations to the web, so I feel we should do the same. Our business doesn’t work if we don’t have good customer service. Our world is all about making customers happy. We are not perfect, but I can say that when there is an issue with a part, we take care of the customer. It does us no good to force customers to keep something that doesn’t perform as we describe or if its not to their liking. This forum and its “poster’s” may make it seem like we are the bad guys and have the worst customer service in the world. But what you don’t see here is the customers that are very happy with us an support us. Its too bad forums bring out the bad more than that good…….

Chris, I don't think anyone would have taken back a product that was butchered that much. He is complaining for the sake of complaining.

I definitely agree.

Fishhead, take your drama off the forum and keep it between you and ALTA.

Yeah : Believe it or not --I AGREE !! A "forum" IS for public discussion and it should have remained a "private matter" between myself & ALTA. But I just couldn't help notifying others as to their "practices" SORRY !! fishead # 1

Alta is an awesome company! If Alta offers a part, i would never buy that part from any other company... Great parts, Great performance, and I've only dealt with great people at Alta. Highly Recommended

Apparently these practices seem to be remain professional and take care of the customer.

Props Alta.

By the way I love my Alta gear and they took care of me when I asked for help. Only issue I have is that I could not use the online ordering on Alta's site because I have a military mailing address.
You guys think you can ever get that fixed?

Hey Jarid! Thanks for the efforts on your last Feathers! They're going to look sweet when it's done. Wasn't my first option of wheels, but with the weight savings and YOUR prices, a deal was made. Shipping was quick, service was taken care of personally by the person I talked to.

There's always a bigger, better, badder product out there than the next guys, and if there it isn't, it just hasn't been made yet. Products aren't always perfect in their inception, there's always room for improvement, but ALTA has always made it right, if needed to be, for me with simple communication. And THAT is worth my money. But I have yet to really even have that problem with them. And look at my sig, I've spent some money with these guys.

i have bought a few things alta
- single sided catback in stealth black
- pulley kit with tensioner stop

the only thing ive noticed so far is that the hangers for the exhaust are kinda annoying. i dont like how the set screws hold it in place. since the exhaust is so deep, its been shaking free from the hanger. i DO like the idea behind it though becase it allows maximum flexibility for adjusting the rear section to individual perference as far as how low it hangs, the angle, and the tip sticks out.

im going to mess with the hangers a bit more this weekend and see if i can get it to stay put.

Are the screws coming loose? If so try a drip of blue locktite!

Anyone know the size of the Alta V2 intake foam filter's neck size? The part that attaches to the air box. Thanks!

I have bought the folowing from you guys: Header, CAI, Pulley, sway bar, intercooler, PSRS (bought last year which I have stiil to install, kinda scared it might make the carvibrate), rear contraol arms. Service has been spetacular, the product is awesome quality. I just need a shop recommendation to insta the PSRS in NJ if you have any that would be great.

Kindest regards,

Mattias

Thanks Mattias! PS your PSRS won't make your car vibrate. I've had a set on my 06 GP for about two years now and still rolling just fine! Not too sure about a good shop in your area. Do you have a local MINI club? They might be able to give some direction to ya

Doesn't the Dinan box used a filter with an angled flange(part that bolts onto the filter housing)?

Chris thanx again for taking care of the order, I saved some cash by buying your cold side boost tube instead of going with m7s... Can't wait to install it, that and the Damn pulley that I have been putting off for a month now....I'm still gonna need those spacers either in 20 or 25 mil. I'll let you know once I get home this sat.
