Mini Madness Oil Cooler and Unichip Version Q

Hey,

Just getting peoples thoughts on this item. Has anyone got one installed and did it make a difference? Is it worth thinking about? As I live in Australia the temperature here in brisbane Queensland doesn't really drop below 10oC. Not too sure what that is in Farenheit. That is even in winter. The average temp would be about 26oC and getting upto about 35oC. With this in mind is it worth me getting one or am I wasting my money?

As for the Unichip Q Version, when you custom tune it can you change the Idle rate and the O2 sensors for the High flow cat to stop the Check Engine Light coming on? My car Idles very lumpy due to my Head being ported and Polished and the cam and the Flywheel and everything else that has been done to it. I have been told that the increased Air Flow which messes with the Vacuum causing it to idle rough. This is why I would like to raise the Idle upto about 1000RPM. Any bodies thoughts on this would be much appreciated

UselessChip should come with it's own code reader cause your going to be throwiing a bunch more of them . Save yourself a lot of money and headache and send your ECU to LDG with a list of all your mods and all of your needs and let them do it right. Uselesschip cannot make the adjustments you want long term, ECU will keep learning and override it in due time. Been there, done that, 1k mistake.

Agree 100%. I made the same mistake, only cost me $750.00 and 18 months for a refund
Go to LDG. I haven't had a tune from them yet, but will at the dragon.
I've only herd good things about LDG.

Your looping idle is probably from your cam. Schrick's tend to do that. I don't know anything about the Unichip, but as others have suggested, with a heavily modified car, you'll see better results from a dyno or custom tune
