question regarding my fidenza flywheel and helix clutch
I have a fidenza lightend flywheel and its done about 30k since fitted. When i removed it today i noticed that the shiny surface that the clutch plate mates to is removable .This removable plate didnt seem to be much thicker than the screws holding it to the flywheel body,is this normal for the fidenza flywheel. Also i have a helix street cluch plate and this doesnt seem to have loads of thickness above the fixing rivets. What sort of depth should a clutch plate have with loads of miles left in it?As i dont want to fit my engine back in and find i have to remove the flywheel and clutch in a few thousand miles.
The clutch incodently started to bite about 1/4 the way up from the floor and didnt slip at all.

foz - I don't know the answer. But if you don't feel confident about answers you might get from this board, I strongly suggest you call Eric (or others) at Helix and pick their brains. They are VERY knowledgeable and happy to help DIY'rs.
It's a pretty a universally shared belief among NAM members that Helix will not steer you wrong; and my personal experience with them confirmed it for me.
IMO, if I were you, I would contact Helix (by phone) and not worry about answers from the board under the circumstances (your car apart and a critical component's integrity in question).
