Here's my opinion:

When looking at airflow or aerodynamics, right angles lead to more disruptive flow. For a simple analogy, where would you have faster cornering speeds, at a 90 degree corner or a 45 degree offramp on the freeway? I would think that the Magnaflow with all the right angles would be more restrictive than the Borla. Maybe the difference from Magnaflow and Borla on an unmodded engine is that the Magnaflow gives a little more backpressure which increases hp. Then, when the engine is modded to breathe better, the Borla with a smoother airflow design results in higher hp gains. I don't know if this holds any water but I'm leaning towards the Borla as it seems more logical in its design.

Randy any thoughts on this? The more mods you have the more advantageous it is for less backpressure/free-flowing exhaust?

Anybody with valuable knowledge please chime in

Since nobody knows the answer to this I would suggest that you pick the one you think would provide more High RPM flow. Looking at them that would be the Borla. But you also have to consider sound. The two sound different, the tips look different and one has many more pieces. I personnaly like the Sound, simplicity and cost of the Magnaflow so that is the one I'm going to buy. If I find out later that the flow needs to be improved I'll remove it, weld in a smooth 'Y' pipe and separate the tips... It would probably sitll be cheeper than the Borla system and any exhaust service center could probably do it. My 2 cents...
