does anyone know how to get that stupid thing off? I just had my motor jacked up, the upper bolt off and the bolt on the strut tower off, and that things is still as solid as a rock. When i was underneath i didnt see a bolt, so i thought maybe it was just those two and it just sat on the ledge at the bottom. I guess i was wrong, but i still cant see any bolts underneath. The only 2 i see under there are the 2 i see on top, so clearly its neither one of them. Im not pulling the motor, or it would probably be easy to figure out. I just want a better damper up there! (mostly because the bottom big end is going to delrin this week or next). Thanks

I am of course refering to the motormount/damper, and not the crank pully vibration damper, i realized this morning the title could be a bit misleading

 

figured it out, just got my bently manual back, and it ends up the new one and the old one are almost teh same, just differer slightly in design. My suspisions were right, pull the black cap on the bottom and there will be a torx up in there somewhere. Now to finalize the new mount design.

Which one are you writing about? Under the engine by the steering pump fan is technically the engine dampener. The one under the air intake is the transmission mount and the one on top to the passenger side is the engine mount. I'm splitting hairs because I'm interested in what you are and where?
