Wheel.

The torque figure in the graph is wheel torque so it's 4.615 (4th gear) * flywheel (and some drive train loss).
Run on a Dynapack.

223.38 whp. Conservatively thinking, 12% drivetrain loss = 250.18 hp at the crank.
Definitely, an EVO killer.....

I guess I can't be completely vague about everything...

15% pulley
MINI Madness Exhaust Header V2 (I think, it looks different from the pics on the website)
Shrick Cam
380cc Injectors
Lucky Dog Garage Intercooler
Lucky Dog Garage Cylinder head
Lucky Dog Garage custom ECU tune

Without the ECU tune it was running sub-200whp, around 190 or so. The flash got it to 223. Also my redline was bumped to 7200 (at least last time I checked, it might have been changed again) and the dyno graph cuts off at 7000 and the HP numbers were still climbing.

I'm not running any piggyback computer at all, everything is handled through the stock ECU. So I didn't lose any functionality from a stock car. My only issue with breaking the wheel loose at 6000 RPM.

Oh yeah, I'm still running a stock exhaust. I get rid of that and I imagine a little more power will be freed up.

It's a drop in replacement for the stock. Uses the stock mounting points (with brackets for the back). It doesn't bang into the bonnet (or even come close) like some others on the market. It usually runs 10 degrees F above ambient.

It also looks something like this:

Damn nice numbers! Congrats. You really chose a good list of mods that all work together flawlessly... Yea get a custom exhaust and you will be over 235whp for sure..

You have to divide by the gear ratio to get wheel torque. Looks like almost 180 lb*ft at the wheels.

His chart on the bottom says 177 lb/ft.

did you ever run a base dyno (pre-mods) on this car? I don't doubt that your car is very strong but those mods can't produce 250 BHP.

I think the LDG tune has a lot to do with it. He said he was putting down around 190 without it.

You're absolutely half right. The components themselves only provide a mod to the base ve of the engine and the result is about 190whp. The real increase came from a custom recalibration of the ecu to take advantage of the increased(altered) ve. It has taken a couple of years of steady development to get to this point. I don't think that there are too many other Mini tuners that are getting these kinds of results using only the factory ecu. Note the torque curve and the AFR data. The dynapack dyno I have gives hub torque but the flywheel numbers are there too.

I don't doubt that this is one strong Mini and I also don't doubt that you produce a great ecu tune but (and I don't think your saying this) but a tune alone adding 60hp?

The tune took it from ~190whp to 223whp. By my calculations that's only a 33hp difference.

It's really pretty simple and we've been doing it on other vehicles for years. The engine is just an air pump. By it's design , it has certain properties. If you change those properties, especially on a boosted engine(supercharged/turbocharged) you need to change the values in the equations PV=NrT that the operating system is crunching to make the vehicle run. The better we are at making those changes, the more power that the engine will produce and the better it will pump air.
