Service Engine light gone?

Ok here is the story. Everytime I boost over 18psi my dsc and service engine soon light would come on. On the next time I start the car the DSC light would turn off and after the third or fourth time the service engine soon light would turn off. I just got my car back from mini to replace a thermostat housing that was leaking. I boost my car up to 20 psi a couple times on the way home but only the DSC light came on, no service engine soon light. Do you think the MINI dealership reprogramed my computer. I have (or maybe now HAD) the GIAC computer remap. Any possibility that the dealer would do this. I know they drove the car pretty hard to check other problems and overboosted. Do you think it scared them and started to mess with the computer once the light came on. Any info would be great. Thanks

Sounds like it may be a good chance that they're reflashed the program - like you said, if they've had the light come on they might have flashed it incase they thought it was a bug in the ECU version.

Maybe you burnt out your SES light from overboosting so much .
You could leave the gas cap off for a while and see if the light comes on to check, but I'll bet it still works.

Most likely they reflashed your cpu back to their standards. Hopefully you can have GIAC reflash it back to where it was before the dealer touched it.

Oh and dude,, how are you getting around 20 psi???

It happened to me too, but it happens right after I had the boost gauge installed I also want to know what is the different in between with and without the Check Engine Light too. I remember when I had the CEL on, the OBDII reader told me it is over boost.... So, does it means now I have less boost before the boost gauge installation?

You are correct, I have the 19% pulley, GIAC computer remap (or had), 380cc injectors, alta intake, Detroit Tuned bypass valve, WEBB exhaust, and REALLY COLD weather.
