Has anyone brought up the fact that Ti bonds to itself after time?

Don't you guys see......its OBVIOUSLY a quality item because look at that price. It's totally worth the extra hundreds of dollars for such fabulous quality and obvious performance gains

And as far as your "Fre muny! Gust axs!" comment... I would have to say I probably wouldn't ask. Maybe this is an elitist statement or stereotyping but with spelling that bad (and not knowing you personally) I would assume (yeah, I know what they say ) that you were uneducated and your offer of "fre muny" was not on the up and up.

Ever since I was little, my parents were told two things:
1) I didn't like to listen to authority and went my own way (hasn't changed much) and
2) I was really smart but my spelling sucked!

So, I guess the lesson here is to not judge a book by it's cover, because my crappy spelling would lead you to believe I'm a looser low-life (I may be, but not because of my spelling) but say nothing about making scanning tunneling microscopes in the machine shop, or improving Intels manufacturing productivity or the like..... They didn't need spelling!

And Brian, I sure hope Ti bonds to itslef.... Otherwise you'd just be buying a little pile of unbonded atoms!

Matt

Seems like we're having a field day with this new pulley. One thing that hasn't seen much day light is the Vendor's claim (on website) that horse power increase on a completely stock MINI S is 20 to 21hp. This is interesting to me because Vendor's of other 15% pullies claim 15 to 16hp. How can there be such variation with the same size pulley? Perhaps the guys that report the low numbers don't know how to preperly perform dyno tests. Any thoughts from the rest of you?

I'm gonna have to go with...Palo is claiming higher HP numbers because it makes their product look better. Until dynos are shown proving otherwise, i would just assume that this one makes 15-16hp (maybe even 17 ) but costs quite a bit more

First of all, I never said anything about anyone being a looser low-life. Don't try to put words in my mouth.

Secondly, you're not offering "Fre muny" and I haven't passed judgement about you. You offered a hypothetical situation and I gave my hypothetical response. What I originally said had absolutely nothing to do with you or your spelling.

Say nothing? Um... okay. What do they have to do with the Palo Uber $700 titanium pulley or Palo Uber's horrendously misspelled and poorly punctuated posts anyway?

My whole point is Palo Uber looks pretty damn unprofessional posting the way they do. They are a vendor/sponsor on this site and as a vendor they are trying to sell products to the users and visitors of this site. They might have better luck if they did a little proofreading (or paid a copywriter) instead of posting like a second grader. Mark has even gone in and corrected some of their mistakes for them, he shouldn't (have to) do that. That's all I'm trying to say.

The upside to the donut is that you can offer the girl a snack while driving around. For those going for the donut pulley route it is recommended that you use a lickerish belt.

you're forgetting about the most important use of the donut pulley! If you ever get pulled over, you just reach down to your SC and hand the cop a donut. No need to cry or plead your way out of tickets with this pulley!

And no worry about having spares, i heard they come in twelve packs at your local tuner (grocery store)

Will I need to change my SC belt or will the stock belt work fine?

I've been telling girls my pulley is Ti for years! Most don't know what a pulley is, nor where it is located, nor do they know the differnce in metals AND I can afford the donuts.

You know who really is getting the girls w/ Ti pulleys

PAUL UBER thats who because his pockets are stuffed w/ YOUR cash .

Yes but the lite cream is not as dense as the heavy cream or even better, chocolate. So the rotational balance would not be as consistent with the lite cream...

pulleys by betty crocker

LMAO!! Man that was awesome! I guess this would be the lightest (although highest calorie) pulley out of the bunch huh? Heat treated I see. Does it cost extra for extra frosting?

Price update

The $700 PU titanium pulley is now an $800 pulley! So that means it's a whole $100 "better" now!

Alas, they've sold out of them, so you may not be able to get one right away. I imagine the talk around the PU shop went something like this:

"What!?!?! Someone bought it??? We made that as a goof! Didn't I tell you to put some ridiculous price on it to clue people in that it was a joke?"

"Umm - I *did* ... Who would have thought there would be a market for a $700 pulley??"

"Think they'll go for $800?"

"Let's find out..."
