I've read posts about people making the hole in the firewall bigger for where the airbox takes in air from the cowl. My questions: what is the easiest way to access the firewall behind the airbox, what is the best tool to use to enlarge the hole, what is the firewall made of, how big is big enough? And my last question, is this too many questions?

 

It has to be removed. Its plastic and a drill with a 2 inch hole saw works great, just about 4 to holes will do.

 

Whoa. You're not cutting holes in the firewall.

You're modifying the little plastic divider that sits behind the airbox.
