I whipped this up and put in some times that have been posted:

www.ross-tech.net/andy/mini/dragracing/quartermile.html

Send me an email to be added to the database or have your time updated. Please note: only REAL times at a dragstrip count! Also, you cannot mix and match ET and trap speeds. Your best ET is the only run that counts.

cool; looks like the pulley is kicking butt. Can't wait to make some new entries, but you might need more mod categories.

how does the ET change compare to the measured HP gains, before and after pulleys? and to the theoretical ET gain for that HP increase, you number cruncher!

I would like to know how much HP gain there is from the pully, and does that help the low-end? Will the car still stay under warrenty, and do you recommend that over an exaust or an intake?

Thanks.

I think if the dealer notices the pulley on your car you will be screwed. Exhaust or Intake you might get away with but and underdrive pulley will put more stress on the motor, so it is easier to put the blame on the mod.

Let's not confuse supercharger pulleys with underdrive pulleys shall we?

This is strictly a whip-it-out, run-what-you-brung kinda thing. No real science, just times and the big mods. Here's my inspiration:

http://www.18turbo.com/18t-quartermile.html

I'm all the way down at #103 on that list

Maybe jlm can come up with a pulley spindle that looks a LOT like the stock one

I think all he needs to make is a plastic cap that says "STOCK".

if it doesn't rain, you will need it tomorrow; also columns for water injection, lightened flywheel, tires, cam, throttle body, headwork...

What exactly do you need to run the 1/4 mile at Englishtown? I've never been down there - but would like to embarass myself in my MC anyhow...

Plus I want to see you guys burning up the track in your MCS's...

All you need to bring is your helmet. If you dont have one, you can rent one for like 5 or 10 bucks.

Friday:
Gates Open 5:00 pm, Eliminations begin 7:30 pm. Tech Closes 9:00 PM
$10 Pit Side/Crew Pass.
Time Trials - $20 Entry Fee

I just heard Minime S (Jeff) ran a 13.8. I believe his car has a pulley, magnaflow exhuast, Header, cam, bmp airfilter, and 50 shot of nitrous. Hmm first mini into the 13's?????

It was really cold outside, and my gas guage computer said i had 10 miles to go with the remaining fuel. Other than those two factors helping to get low e/t's i guess i lucked out. But i did run my fair share of 15.3's and 15.5's and ewwwww two god awful 16.00 runs (at another track).

Nice list Andy,

Just to add to Jeff's cars list, we did put on a supersprint header and changed the cam on his car when we put all the other things on it. See you on Thursday.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't jlm run his best time before he had a Quaife?

1/4 mile times give a very good indication of power. Don't look at the ET though since they will vary from driver to driver. Your trap speed will show how much power the car is ultimately making. Just a little FYI for comparo, my GTI with a GIAC chip and a drop in filter went 14.3@94.95 with a 2.2 60ft so a Mini with some basic upgrades is a bit faster then a chipped VW 1.8t

With that said you don't even need to own a helmet at E-town, you can rent one for 5 bucks I beleive.
Mike

Hehe, I should put in a section for people to say "I know I could have done better if ....".

I added your times, not bad. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and tell you to shift MUCH faster. What rpm were you using for shiftpoints? Your 60-ft time is very good!
