I recently took a ride in a WRX with several performance mods. These mods included: Exhaust, intake, and Blow-Off Valve. The most significant performance mod of those three would have to of been the BOV becuase of the amazing sound it made when shifting.

does anyone know of a BOV for minis or will a universal one be sufficient?

 

I don't think you can put a blow off valve in a MINI, you need a turbo charger to have a BOV. Yeah I agree the BOV sound is so awesome!

Superchargers are direct driven, and cannot over-boost; it's physics. Therefore, a blow-off valve is irrelevant.

Blow-off valves on turbocharged engines may sound cool, but they are an epitome of inefficiency. It's not really a "performance mod" in the typical definition of being a power adder, more of a "performance limiter", since it's limiting boost.
