well the picture you are posting here is not the way my is mounted. My is mounted from inside the frame to the engine block. The picture posted here seems a lot easier to do and is at less of a angle (left to right) The actual damper shaft bent its seems do to the mounting angle. I have seen several others do this as well.

I wanted to get another and use the type of mounting pictured here it seems this will be easier to install and mounted in more of a stright line.

I have a big washer below and above the mounting plate. My setup reinforces the existing damper, so the forces are distributed between the 2.
