I am fairly close to doing a unichip map update when I purchase new injectors (probably 380s)

Why don't any of the maps listed for the unichip ask if injectors have been up-graded ?

Or do the larger ingectors just have the capacity to "keep up" with other mods?

I am CAI, 15% UDP, large intercooler, header, cat back and perhaps injectors.

Any help / input greatly appreciated

 

Given the fact that the mods you've listed are well within the operating range of the stock fuel injectors, unless you recalibrate your ecu for the larger capacity injectors, the only changes that you'll realize are CEL on and fuel trim codes.

 

How do you recalibrate the ECU? Is this done at Mini itself or are you talking about resetting the ECU after the install?

 

Have you checked with Webb Motorsports?? I know Randy helped develop Unichips Std maps and has several more of his own.

As an incentive you might be ahead to get your unichip tuned by your local unichip dealer on his ( or her ) dyno -- create your own custom map.

I seems like ...
keep modding with needed ECU reflashs..
Eventually I'll get a code that the injectors can't keep up...
Then do injectors....
