Drivetrain Best Lighten Flyweel that will not CHATTER?
Two issues actually, one if you are idling and you let the clutch out to start the car moving without giving it a substantial amount of gas it will drop the revs to almost a stall or stall completely if you are on any sort of incline. The other issue is the Stage 3 clutch. Its more like an on/off switch. There is no riding the clutch, it just kind of dumps it to the wheels. I think the combination of the two just plain sux, then add in the fact that the MINI has the ol' throttle lag in response and you really have to pay attention to pulling out. On steep inclines I have to use my e-brake or end up rolling backwards a foot or two before power gets delivered correctly.
That's pretty interesting Tuels, I suppose I'm gonna have to consider checking that combo out next time I decide to replace the FW again.
Besides, I've never been one to argue about having alternatives; it's the lack thereof that always bothered me.
