I already posted the teaser shots, but the unit has been under evaluation for just about the entire gammut. Here's what I've found:

It works. The gains made with other mods don't lose near the ground they used to when tested on the dyno hot vs. cold. With the stock intercooler, we were seeing 12 hp gains just from running the car cold. Now, the gain is only 6hp - showing a rough gain of 6-8 hp.

It will take some fabrication to make marketable. I am currently looking at developing the brackets and wiring required to make it a plug and play, as well as the motor. Cost is still to be determined.

We are also working on the larger air-air system, which I think may be more effective for low speed events. That testing will begin next week.

Here are the pictures of the system:

The new radiator

The water pump (electric)

The intercooler

The filler neck and overflow

I'll keep you posted on the progress of the water intercooler.

I'd love to see the look on the MINI technician that pops the hood for a service and sees that intercooler!!

I had mine first

I'm still not sure this is the best solution, but after the air-air larger intercooler is tested, I'll make up my mind. Then we'll have to make the water cooler a kit if it is more effective (the air-air is ready to go as a kit due to the much simpler nature of it).

I promise to keep you all informed! I just hate to keep tipping my hand on the developments, as some of the higher funded companies may beat me to market - such is life!
