Hey everyone, i am thinking about getting the Alta intake for my 04 cooper S, but there is 2 different one on alta's site...the classic and the 2.0. is there a real difference between the two, besides the $30 on the price tag and the black heat shield?

2.0: classic:

 

Having read the website, I think the black finish is the difference--the new v2 items are all black. I don't know of any other difference in these items. Classic=silver, v2=black.

personally I like the stealth look. I think the real question is which is more expensive? if they are the same then I would go with the one that looks better!

Rubber seals did come with the original alta intakes...
plus the original alta intakes once came in black too..
I know because i had one.

 

Like he says.........the rubber seal comes with both new and old style. Just the paint.
