Just the ride in Randy's MINI was worth it! MAN!! It was freakin SCARY!! He really knows how to travel. Takes his own jacks and all.. I bought a set of his brake pads. If you are tired of all the dust be sure to have him bring a extra set.

ECU + Pulley upgrade = Really Worth it.

Got my upgraded ECU from Randy today - thanks for the efficient turn-around - plugged it in, and wamo, works great and adds noticeable pull at the low end and HP as the engine revs. Also, no noticeable stumble!

I'm perhaps most impressed by the civil manners of the car after the tuning. The car does not seem to have pickup up any ill manners with a power increase that might be as large as 30 HP.

Daisy was part of the Dallas pulley party, but guy in Germany doing the ECU software did not show the morning it was to be done. So, had to send the ECU to Randy to upgrade. So, I too experienced the pulley upgrade only and the combined upgrade – get both.

Thanks again, Randy and Graham.

I also showed up for a few days and camped out at the shop. I didnt have anything done to my stock motor MC. I did get to drive 2 MCS. One had Intake/ecu/exhaust/springs/sway. I do beleive this was Marks car from austin. I asked him to take me for a drive and he just tossed me the keys. It was a blast to drive a fast MCS. Coming from 115HP to 200+HP is like night and day. I then got the chance to drive Grahams MCS. Again, speechless. He has everything done that Marks has plus intake/cooling vents on the intake box and a badass radar system (yes i said system!). After 2 days of driving MINIs down the same road repeatedly (sp?) the cops finally caught on. When I drove out on saturday I noticed a cop about 1/4 mile down the road running radar. Right by the shop. Im not sure how long he stayed there, and I U-turned back to tell the group to find another route to burn-up. It was really cool to meet Randy after seeing the same picture of him in his sig for 6 months. First thing he said to me was that "I will pose for pics for the right price". That got me to laugh. Then I noticed he wasnt kidding and that I owed him $20 for 5 pics Talked to him about a few things on the MC I wanted to change out. Gave me full detailed answers. All in All it was a blast to meet everybody and lose 15lbs doing it in the texas heat!

Mel, feel free to PM me for a test drive in my pulleyed and ECU'd car, by that time I'll have the MINI Motorsport Throttle Body on also. Sorry you missed the gig. And don't forget us at metroplexmini.org!
