I won't make dinner Friday, but hope to make the car show. Anybody thought about visiting Moroso Saturday night? It's an open night for street cars on the drag strip. Sounds like a great opportunity for some serious immaturity.

Picked up a new S last week. Needless to say I love the car but disapointed with the "hicup" and the "yoyo".

I reckon if BMW aren't going to fix it we'll have to.

Let me know if you have a slot for the group pulley deal?

I live close to Tower shops and look fowards to meet up with you there either way.

Where: Tower Shops in Davie .. I-95 South to I-595 west to University Drive then South on University 1/4 mile on the left. MINI parking is in the last row.
Time: We want everyone to get there as close to 5:00pm as possible.
Dinner Choices:Roadhouse Grill, Shells, Davie Ale House, Leftys (Wings) these are all within walking distance. We can park in the car show area and then eat. Or drive somewhere later and eat later. The beach ?? When were done with the show we can all go somewhere and hang out. Boomers Amusment Center, Dave and Busters a 84 Diner for coffee and dessert?? I don't care either way. This will all take place on Friday 5/17 and I will give the ideas but everyone will have to help and decide on what to do.

Saturday we will be spending the day at Renntech with Randy. RonR lives in the West Palm area and he will be suggesting the what, where, and when's for Saturday and the evening. Right RonR??


Anyone have questions or needs better directions let me know. I don't know where you are coming from so its hard to post good directions. But the one above will get you there if your coming from the north on I-95. PM me and I will give you my phone number to direct you better the day of or if you get lost. Don't worry though this is not Miami.

Out of Towners are staying at which hotels in what part of South Florida. Broward County or West Palm Beach??

 

I've gotta figure out where I'm gonna stay... Close to the Tower Shoppes...or close to Renntech. Decisions, decisions...

I am most defiantly going to be there. I'm having my pulley done around 10 am friday morning. What about lunch friday afternoon? About dinner I guess we will all just decide when we get to the Towers. I plan on staying at some hotel around the towers for friday then heading back home early saturday.

BTW it was my ANNIEversary on Friday but I wasn't here to celebrate, so I'll have to do so on Friday

The pulley everyone is talking about here is for the Supercharger on a MCS but I am sure you can buy a underdrive pulley maybes from Unorthodox Racing for a regular Cooper.

Everyone I would like to add my name to the list for friday, sat, sun. Mostly to help with the install's but track time sounds like more fun. Does anyone have a good idea what the weather is going to be? Wind info would be great if you have it this time of year we get a nice sea breeze 10-15. I just want to know if I should bring my kite gear.

I just got off the phone with 2minis and Randy. Randy and Mike are here in South Florida. They will be at Renntech starting around 8:00am...Early for Randy because he is still 2 hours behind us. WAKE UP RANDY !!! See you all Friday afternoon !!!!

 

Well, I hate to have this happen, but it looks like I'm out for both Friday and Sunday. My Mini is experiencing a bad set of wheel bearings and new ones are not due in till Monday. Unless some miracle happens tomorrow, my car is down for the weekend. That means I do not get the pulley install either which really burns me! :evil:
Hopefully we're going to work out another pulley install session for June so keep your eyes and ears open.

 

Sorry to hear the bad news Mark. Your beating up the beast pretty good. My guess is that with all the installs Randy is doing this weekend I am sure the mechanics from Renntech will be right there taking notes on How-To.. that might be something to think about. See you soon.
