DFIC and Twincharge

I have already purchased / installed an M7 DFIC. I am planning on going the twin charge route very shortly. Any thoughts on how these things will work together? I know a few of the kits come with upgraded intercoolers included.

Thanks

Seann

I 100% agree, sometimes you should just keep spelling errors to yourself.

bascially doing some research on intercooler sizing relative to HP... that will give you your answer...

for instance... from Bell Intercoolers:
If the boost is raised is it necessary to increase an otherwise proper intercooler?
Very seldom. While the loss through the intercooler is proportional to the flow (CFM) squared, unlikely the change will be of a magnitude that requires a bigger intercooler. If dramatic changes in flow are created, say 50%, then the flow loss would increase by 1.5 squared, or 2.25, and that would prove excessive thus strongly suggesting a larger intercooler

now... stock boost is 11.2... the minimum for the TC is like 19... this is nothing against t he DFIC.... it wasn't designed with the TC in mind....

Dfic

I am running the DFIC on my TC and it is hot to touch after running the car. Perhaps Tuls was right. I would like to use a larger front mount IC but i'm still searching.

Any recommendation Tuls? A 3x12x24 cooler will work?

oh yes... this is good for 750 hp.... this is why I got it... with equal boost the efficiency gain will net you many HP

Tuls come on now. It depends on the core efficiency. Just because the intercooler is a certain size doesn't mean it will support a certain hp level.

I have had great experience with the bell intercoolers. They can make an intercooler whatever size you need. Completely to your specification. Look 'em up www.bellintercoolers.com . Tell Gerhard Ryan Spillman told you to call.

LOL.... exactly

size is a huge factor my friend... if your IC is too small it is inefficient...

this is from the bell site:
"Size of the intercooler will core can have a dramatic effect on the efficiency and performance of the forced induction system. "
