Do you have to buy

the supercharger pully removal tool or will any pully removal tool work? Seems like a lot of money to throw on a tool that will be used one time and maybe never again. Cheapest I could find was like 78 dollars, and still that is ridiculous...

theres gotta be something else that will work???

Ahh. I had this problem too. Simple answer, yes a good craftsman 3 claw puller can take off the stock pully. A cheap one will break. BUT it can tear the crap out of it(the stock pully). And you have to jack your motor up much higher. After a few weeks researching I bought the $78 one and made my own tensioner tool.

Depending where you are, there may well be one (or more) near you that you could borrow. See if you can contact your local MINI club. And often, there will be a club member (or members) who have already done a few pulley installs. That makes them go MUCH faster.

We have loaners for no charge if you buy the pulley from us (we have the best pulley too!). Here's a link.

Let me know if you have any questions.
