Would a 62mm throttle help with Head/cam?

I know have the head and cam kit and I was wondering if a 62mm throttle body. I have head these are kind of worthless but I wonder if they have a use now that I have the head and cam? Also how hard to install and can I use my Alta intake with the silcon tubing?

we found that with a back to back comparison 59 -62 that the 62 indeed felt better at the top end .... FWIW

Was that on a car with Head and cam or just basic mods. Do you think it would be more noticable on my car?

With a stock head...

and 91 octane, I didn't measure any difference between stock and 63mm. Also tested a 60 with the same results....

When I talked to the guys at Dinan, they say it does make a difference as you open things up, but interestingly, they use the stock head and thier TB is either a bit bigger or smaller than 59 mm... I just don't remember now...

And M7 sells as large as 63mm, but I noticed that they spec'ed a 59mm on one of thier latest builds....

But the more you flow, the more you need!

Matt

My car has about every mod including intake manifold and runners and a M62 SC..... so it mattered on my car...... Josh Murray of Unichip says of the hundreds of cars he has built and tunes he has never seen a TB make a difference..... so there you go...... if I had it to do again on a stock car I would go stock...... M7 is currently not producing 62s.... that may change as the 62 SC comes online..... not my favorite bang/buck mod by any means..... I would look elsewhere for performance and when you can't spend any more money but you just have to do "the next mod" consider a TB..... JMO

yeah i had it on my MCS with the M7 AGS and it made some difference in the throttle response.....but power wise? i dont know i think the most of the power came from the intake itself.
