That is what I seek to clarify here.
$2k?
Found the w/flux version here for $951.46

The bad news being they,so far, don't do trade ins on the original units so you're a$$ out $700 and then have to spend another $1-2K.

For how much hp/tq? Plus the "custom tune" $$$$$$

Obe, I think you are kinda right. The only difference I can see is the addition of bluetooth to the box & the supplied software for a CE PDA. The bluetooth should be an easy mod, if Unichip offers 1. You would still be looking at around 1k to patch your boat. Yup, I'm in the same boat as you if you want to be Mr. Tuner in your neighborhood.

I have a BIM-COM( really nice kit ) so it offers nothing really.

Even the custom tune isn't worth $1K. To me, it may be to others.

You have a spare Harness? How much for that?

I don't need a chip though, that's why I'm organizing this for everyone else!

Another bump for a good deal.
This is not the early version box, but the base "Flux" box version.

This is the Unichip Q Series ECU only. It is not the FLUX (which is not released yet).

The FLUX is an add on to the Q Series ECU.

The FLUX consists of 3 major components... Q Series ECU, Software and Bluetooth adapter. This is only for the Q Series ECU, one of the 3 components of the FLUX system.

BE4Tnut, "This is the Unichip Q Series ECU only. It is not the FLUX (which is not released yet )."

I heard the Q series box was the base unit for "Flux". With Flux, software, blutooth and a PDA you have an engine moniter, ability to change some parameters, store maps and record engine events are the make up of the "Flux" package. This info is from a dealer, also the advertised pieces, Flux, have not been shipped yet. This dealer, on the other hand, has not been all that accurate. I see many vendors with "Flux" for sale. It seems a little odd that none would have any in stock.....

What you are saying is there is a total re-do of the ECU that has not been released. Has the Unichip w/Flux monitor been available for some time?

Ok, I am trying to help MINIMort out by wording this clearly so everyone understands this is for the UNICHIP Q series ECU and does not include the Flux Power Display addon.

Unichip has released very little information so far on the FLUX, thats because it is not out yet. My understanding that is will be realeased early 2007. Look HERE for a little bit of information they have released about it. The information I get is directly from a UNICHIP dealer so I trust that it is accurate. On that link I just posted it clearly states that it does not come with a PDA first off, you need to buy your own for that and lists the system requirements for it. Its just software and a bluetooth module for the Q series chip according to their information.

Also FLUX is already for sale through some sites, although these are pre-orders and they do not have them in stock yet. See the following taken from an online retailer:

The features that you listed off and what the FLUX is capable or is correct but I just wanted to clarify that it is not out yet, and also that The FLUX and Q Series ECU are 2 different products that you can cobine, making a useful tuning and logging tool.

Did that answer your questions?

Thanks,
BEATNUT
