Digi-tec max power

hey you guys, I passed by our local Digi-tec dealer today after getting some info that they provide ECU software for the MC and MCS. I asked different qeustions about the increase of performance and how does it work. I guess the deal is that it works the same way as the MTH, but I couldn't get more info from the guy. The set up is done at the Digi-tec shop and they claim to produce BIG numbers out of the stock MCS engine. they show that there are two types of the MCS 163hp and 170hp (anyone can explain?) the HP increase with their chip only is 30HP for both models but the torque out put is the most amazing the specified 163 hp model produces 248 N.m. and the 170 hp will produce 255 N.m. plus 10 km/h increase in speed.
I asked the shop guy (which seemed that he had no actual experience and more of a salesman) if there are different setup for the JCW and he replied to me with the usual answering machine stuff, "we have 163hp and 170hp, which one is yours?" I was a little skeptic especially after checking out the price (EUR 1,249, - = USD 1568 )and decided to come and share it with my MINI friends. Does anyone know anything about that? I guess the only people that have an answer on that is the MTH people as they are both German companies. I managed to locate their site and translate it. To see the numbers just click on the links below.

i have some.. the 163 is early mini S 02-04 before they coated the vains on the SC. the 170 was after they coated the vains and made some small changes. as for the 30 whp after the chip.. i haven't seen that from any flash only as of yet.

Digi-tec is a German tuner who was one of the first to upgrade the mini. Their product was initially well received (good HP/$) but since the addition of more competition they have fallen out of favor. I heard some people have had problems with pinging in more extreme motor set-ups. Two of their programmers have left to start their own company, Heron. I haven't heard any reviews of thier product. Hope that helps.

The digi-tec offering is for a pulley, software, and installation. They use a 56-57mm pulley which is close enough to what you already have as to not make a difference. I have heard alot of people get good results adding MTH to their JCW's, but I can't give any first-hand info on that.
