I am reading the local classifieds...
There is an advertisement for a 2006 MCS SSX220... They say it is a 220HP mini...Anyone heard of such vernacular when describing a MCS ? I do have a call into the dealership asking what it is also... Price 29,000$$$ Just Curious and figured this forum would know better than any other...Oh yeah 6,500 miles...
I believe you're going to find that this is just some bling special packaging to make this Mini a little different than others. A High School kid might swallow the marketing but you're smarter than that simply by asking here first.
I've seen Los Angeles Times ads where some dealers have added a few special bling parts and then advertise those Minis as something way faster and way more special than any other dealer's.
May still be an OK car - check the add-ons.

Is the dealer Sterling MINI? If so they offer a performance package called SSX that is dealer installed. It is a pulley, CAI, ecu, header and exhaust. I'm not sure where they get 200hp from.
No it is Leith Porsche in Raleigh NC , I do have a call into the dealer to see what is up...Thanks for the help in deciphering this ad...
Interesting. If it's dealer-installed it must meet the warranty requirements, no? If so, do you know if the warranty is Sterling only or MINI in general? I've been wanting a pulley for a while, but don't want the warranty issues inherent with any non-JCW mods.

Hows that for a helpful answer.
