I think if you look at systems designed for newer neons you'll find something that "might" work. Being that the engine is half chrysler, a lot of stuff is interchangable. I know MSD makes a spiffy red coilpack for the neon that seems to be the same.

I will actually be testing a unit soon that is supposed to increase spark performance - I am a bit skeptical though. I'll let you know how it turns out.

NO it isn't Nology - it's supposed to be a "plasma" system, but honestly the I have no idea what the technolgy is - I'll let you know if it's more snake oil or if it's legit...

Capacitive Discharge vs. Inductive Discharge? Here's a link:
http://www.rmlautomotive.com/ignition.html

I wouldn't bec surprised if the OEM system is already capacitive, I'll be interested to hear your assesment.

I mean, isn't any spark producing plasma? Plasma is just charged gas, right?

Here's a discussion from some racers:
http://pages.zoom.co.uk/blitzracing/ignition.htm

They discuss "plasma burn" in the context of sparks that are too long.
