Drivetrain Oil Pressure Gauge Problem HELP!
Oil Pressure Gauge Problem HELP!
Ok my oil pressure gauge WAS working normally I think. When I would start the car it would read below 25 at idle then reach a max of about 50 more or less when driving. Last week after I had some seats installed with an ohm(?) resistor put in to turn off the airbag light, my pressure gauge is at 0 at idle then only rises to about 25 after an hour of driving. I don't think this is normal. The gauge barely moves. I checked the wire and it is good. Does anyone know what the problem here is. Any information would be great. Thanks
Is it mechanical or electrical? It sounds electrical, and if that is the case, I would check the power source you are pulling from for the gauge. My guess is that you are putting a resistor in that line, causing your gauge to read, but low.
Hope that helps!

Where can i put the new power source for the gauge. I don't want to mess with the resistor put in for the airbag light because i had that done for me, real complicated for me. Can I tap a new source for the power for the gauge and would any of you two guess where my power source is now? Thanks for responding. Peter
