Supercharger Intake Tube Help.

Several months ago I broke the tab off the intake tube while removing the bypass valve to adjust it. At the time I really didn't worry about it because the tube really can't move after everything is put back together despite the fact the tab is broken. Today I was looking around in there and noticed oil forming on the tube and rubber connection just below the bypass valve. I suspect its got a slight leak around the the bypass valve. ANYWAYS, I was thinking its a good time to replace the intake tube and fix the leak but I need to know how hard it its to get at the tube. It looks like I have to pull the bumper, AC coil and radiator just to get at it. The bumpers no big deal but can I just loosen the radiator and AC coil enough to pull it forward or does the whole thing have to come out?

BTW, what do you think the dealer would charge to do it?

Thanks and sorry for the long read.

Hello there,

we have done it, just removing the bumper and pulling the radiator forward, however there is not a lot of room, the best way is actually to remove the radiator and move the a/c compressor and the condenser out of the way without disconnecting the lines. This way you have full acces to the front of the engine,
Good luck

I and many others have done this without pulling the rediator, but it is not easy. My wife's smaller hands were used to place the screw that goes on the plastic piece that you broke off. By the way, if you are going to have to do this, might I suggest that you consider doing the AGS V3 instead. You will have to do the same installation process for this than it. You might want to download from M7's website the installation intructions for the AGS, to do either one of the parts. If you replace the stock part, you just follow the first part of the instructions.

Another tip is to make sure you buy the green gasket that seals this tube to the supercharger. It only costs a few dollars.

I know of on person who was able to do exactly the same operation, because of the same problem, by removing the TB and removing the part from the bottom of the car with the front in ramps. Without removing the bumper and other parts. Just an idea.

Thanks for the reply's. After looking over M7's instructions it doesn't look that bad. That AGS looks sweet but the whine seems a little too much or at least from the sound of their video clip. I suppose they edited it to make it seem louder though.

If you follow our instructions you should be able to get the radiator loose enough to make the swap. As for the sound of the AGS that is it in its " natural " state
