Changing engine geometry has some other side effects besides the volume increase, so I'm not sure I'd say they are exactly the same, but they're both good. A friend's 2.4L 944 Turbo was making about 300 hp with mods such as a larger turbo and injectors, but stroking increased hp to appx 400 and also changed the torque curve to give him some low end grunt (as opposed to none - which is what the 2.4L had. It was like a light switch somewhere between 3000 and 3500).

You might find the same outcome with twincharging.... Again, it is related to the amount of fuel-air mixture that can get into the cylinder(s).

If some of you like to discuss other power adders....
Please start another thread where you can take those theories to the next level (or do a search for previous discussions, there's plenty thru the years).
This thread is started, to discuss and meassure the interest in the M62 SC system.

Thank you kindly

Peter
I am interested but will likely wait for a couple of months to see if there are any adverse outcomes.

After my upcoming one year deployment I'll have quite a bit of extra cash and am very interested in the M62 kit.

Does the M62 s/c use the same size shaft as the M45? So that s/c reduction pulleys that were installed on a M45 could be re-used on the M62... for even further benefit.....

As I understand it, yes; however, it seems that we won't be wanting that much reduction (15-19%).

It is not a tease..... the car is not done and the final reduction size is not set..... when I have the car in my hands I will give you a full.... yes full story......this is the 6th week and I am at least as anxious to get my car back as you are to get info.... I do promise a "review" .......probably video.

I am not comfortable giving exact numbers yet as they are in flux..... the car will be going to the dyno this week for tune and i should have it by Friday......YES

I'ed like to get on the list. I'm on the west coast so i'll have to wait untill you start selling the kit, but I'ed like to be one of the first on list. I already have most of the mod's but still looking for a little more. I have one thing that most of the others dont, mine is automatic. But it still runs hard. I track it and the the standards dont walk away from me.
