i thought the manifold vacuum pulled the bypass open at idle by the shortast path to the intake manifold but it troubled me to see the vacuum hole is below the butter fly. the only sorce for vacuum then is all the way through the s/c. so it is backward . sorry ...had to chime in .

It is supposed to help. I just hope by it popping off there was no damage to the IC.

I didnt pop it off, it just fell off while I was driving.....

It's hard to imagine that changing the IC would have any effect on vacuum, unless there is a disturbed VGS mod.
